Transamerica GAP covers out of pocket expenses not covered by your health insurance. It is designed to pick up deductibles related to the hospital and outpatient surgery. |
| What is covered? |

If you are overnight in the hospital, GAP pays you. If you have a $3000 deductible, GAP would reimburse you $3000. It is important to note your company benefit can very depending on the deductible.
Outpatient surgery is paid at 50% of your inpatient benefit. If you have a $3000 deductible and you have outpatient surgery GAP would pay you $1500.
Transamerica GAP also pays for MRI's, CT-Scans, PET scans and any other complex x-rays performed at an outpatient facility.
Emergency room and Urgent Care co-pays are reimbursed if it is the result of an accident or injury.
Ambulance is also covered in the event of accident or injury.
Surgery in the doctors office, example the removal of a mole would be covered up to $100 per occurrence.
