Transatlantic Cluster Insights | Volume 5 | November 2017
 Greetings!

Cluster 4.0 is on the horizon!

After successful study trips on med tech and light weighting, the remainder of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 mark a big focus on Industry 4.0/IoT for GACC Midwest and the Transatlantic Cluster Initiative.

In this issue, you will learn more about our events, programs, and publications around the fourth industrial revolution.

We invite all cluster representatives to reach out to us with your regional industry focus, so we can include your cluster in this transatlantic dialog.

Kind regards,
Jessica Ferklass

What Participants Say
" The Chicago Metro Metal Consortium (CMMC) welcomed the opportunity to partner with GACC Midwest for its Transatlantic Cluster Initiative on metalworking technology. CMMC hosted a delegation of German cluster organizations in Chicago for site visits and a conference where we exchanged ideas, challenges and best practices. Additionally, seven of CMMC’s members and partners traveled to Germany to meet with cluster professionals as well as visit state of the art metalworking manufacturers. This experience abroad allowed CMMC to build upon and deepen relationships with existing German companies here and to collaborate with the GACC on other efforts."
