Meet Leah Lopez - CSU Long Beach

In 2021, Leah transferred to Cal State University, Long Beach as a liberal studies major.

What do you enjoy about your transfer university?

I love how CSULB is completely diverse! It’s a big campus that even I haven’t explored or experienced it all.

What transfer advice would you give to future FC transfer students?

My advice is to stay motivated! I know it may have been difficult getting a feel of the college experience at a junior college, but you’ll get a lot of time at the university to experience exactly what you’re looking for!

Currently not only am I excelling academically, I’ve also been able to explore what clubs and extra curriculars are like on campus. I’m involved in a few programs like Liberal Studies Student Association (LSSA), Philipino American Club (PAC), I’ve also found my home away from home in sorority life specifically in the Panhellenic sorority Tri Delta. I commute to campus, but that doesn’t stop me from trying to live what I feel like is the college experience.
