The FC Transfer Center is holding a CSU TSP seminar to learn more about the program on Wednesday, September 11th at 2:30pm
Applying to Private Colleges
Considering Applying to a Private College?
Many private colleges and universities utilize a holistic approach to reviewing prospective transfer applicants. This approach usually considers your academics (e.g. GPA, enrollment, rigor of coursework), and personal qualities.
To learn about your personal qualities, universities may require personal essays and letters of recommendation.
You may consider participating in activities such as student government, volunteer experiences, internships, or work experience to enhance your learning and application materials.
For advice on getting a great letter of recommendation, read here.

Meet Litiola Alice Foloifo
In 2022, Litiola Alice Foloifo transferred to CSU Fullerton as a Computer Science major.
What do you enjoy about your transfer university?
I enjoy nothing more than knowing that I have the opportunity, granted to first gen students like me, to attend this university. I had no guidance, but was still able to continue to navigate through obtaining my degree.
What transfer advice would you give to future FC transfer students?
Because I come from a low income family and lots of students attend junior colleges for financial reasons, I would recommend taking all classes that you can at the JC level before transferring. That way, when you transfer, you’d already be that much closer to graduation.
