This is not a character flaw
We want to say this clearly: this is not laziness.
It’s not a lack of discipline.
And it’s not a personality issue.
It’s often a sign that your brain is working harder than it should have to—especially in the visual system and its connection to attention and processing.
When we support and retrain those systems, something interesting happens:
Tasks don’t feel as heavy. Focus doesn’t feel as forced. And avoidance starts to ease—not because you “tried harder,” but because your brain is no longer overworked by basic processing.
