What a year it has been!
Workers at Durgin Pines celebrating that their COVID unit is finally empty.
"Maine’s frontline care workers are beleaguered and still fighting to keep themselves and the people they care for safe and healthy. While PPE and testing supplies are holding steady, the emerging issues are all about staffing shortages and vaccines. A new focus is also on the long-term mental health needs of these workers who have lived through so much stress and trauma. We have a long road of healing and system reform ahead."
- Our Safety First for Women grantee, Maine Council on Aging
Because you give, this year we have granted over $250,000 to organizations led by and for women. This includes emergency grant funding to improve safety for women and girls during the pandemic.

We make bold investments that transform the lives of Maine women and girls. You make it all possible.
