All of us at generative somatics (gs) feel incredibly grateful. In 2019, gs community members contributed a wide range of resources to gs - time, energy, skills, wisdom, spirit, partnership and... money! Below, we've written a special thank you to the 450+ people who donated to gs.

We look forward to continuing to develop our organizational practice of Transformative Resourcing. A big part of that will be to build and deepen our relationships with current and potential gs donors and funders (many of YOU!). Here are some opportunities to connect with this work:

Embodied Leadership for Funders and Donors: This program is for individual leaders (board, staff, and members) and teams from foundations and funder networks, as well as those who identify as major donors. ELFD will take place in October in Oakland, CA. Find out more. Apply by June 1st.

Get Centered grassroots fundraising program: From April 15th-May 15th, take this opportunity to get centered in action! There are small and large ways to get involved. Your participation will make a big difference. Find out more. Register here by April 6th.

Save-the-Date: On May 5th, gs is holding a webinar about Staci K. Haines’ new book, The Politics of Trauma: Somatics, Healing, and Social Justice. We’ll be supporting gs community members, funders, and donors to host webinar watch parties and fundraisers. Interested? Register here.

84 gs community members joined Team Alliance! Thank you for allying with gs and helping this work grow by donating $500 or more.

15 gs community members joined the gs Major Donor Team! Thank you for contributing $5,000 or more and playing a key role in grounding gs as we move toward implementation of our Strategic Priorities.

9 gs community members joined our new Mainspring Donor Circle! Thank you for contributing $25,000 or above, every year for 3 years. The Mainspring Donor Circle is playing a fundamental and powerful role in moving gs to the next level, so we can truly meet the need for our work.

50+ gs community members took action in our Get Centered grassroots fundraising program and in other ways! Donations allow gs to make programs accessible to innovative movement leaders; to poor and working class communities and communities of color; and to choose partnerships based on alignment with our values and strategy, not on financial capacity.

Contributions from individuals, especially in 2019, supported gs to build the strong and sustainable organization we need to meet the expressed desire for our work in social and climate justice movements.
