Pacific Head & Neck at Pacific Neuroscience Institute®

April is Oral, Head, and Neck Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that over 54,000 new cases of oral and oropharyngeal cancers are diagnosed each year in the U.S.? Early detection is key, and you can help protect yourself by performing regular self-checks. Look for signs like lumps in the neck, persistent sore throats, difficulty swallowing, and unexplained pain or bleeding in the mouth. If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s important to see a healthcare provider for a professional evaluation.

At Pacific Neuroscience Institute, we're proud to offer advanced treatments like Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), a minimally invasive procedure that helps remove tumors in hard-to-reach areas of the mouth and throat. Vivian Wu, MD, MPH, our new head and neck oncology surgeon, is offering this leading-edge treatment.
