ART Doing Good Mural Project
Taking Shape in Downtown Howell
There’s something meaningful happening in Downtown Howell and it’s being built from your stories.
Over the past few months, ART Doing Good has been gathering community reflections: what people love about Howell, the small moments that matter, and the feelings they hope others experience when they’re here. That input is now beginning to take visual form.
Founder Susan Pominville has started sketching early concepts for the first mural, shaped directly by the voices of the community. While still in the exploratory phase, these initial designs mark an important step, where shared stories begin transforming into something tangible.
The first mural is set to be installed this spring on the Thai Cafe building across from the Livingston County Courthouse. The base coat is already up, along with a large QR code inviting passersby to stop, scan, and add their voice to the project.
🎥 A short video has been created to showcase some of the community input and offer a glimpse into how those ideas are coming together visually.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Every story shared helps shape what will soon become part of Howell’s landscape.
