May Matters: Mental Health Awareness Month

Hi friends! I’m here to remind you that May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a special time to check in with yourself and others, spread kindness, and talk openly about how we’re feeling.

Whether it’s taking a moment to rest, reaching out to a friend, or learning something new about mental wellness, every small step matters. You’re not alone, and it’s always okay to ask for help.

Learn more about mental wellness at Lindner Center of Hope's Community Education Day. This event is hosted at Manor House in Mason on May 3rd and is a great opportunity to learn and grow.

Campus Construction Update

We are pleased to share continued progress across several areas of our campus. Thank you for your patience as we work to enhance our facilities and the overall experience for those we serve.

Medical Office Building (MOB)

  • Core foundation work is being completed this week. Structural steel has arrived on site to begin assembling the building’s frame.
  • In the coming days, crews will remove a portion of stone from the east side of the current building to connect the new foundation.

Parking & Access

  • Accessible parking is on track for completion by the end of April, weather permitting.
  • Work continues on walking paths, curbs, and the new access road, with paving to follow.
  • Electrical work is underway for lighting and security (pending activation).
  • Ongoing improvements include pedestrian safety measures and landscaping for walking paths.

Sibcy House Addition

  • Framing and ceiling work are in progress; next steps include HVAC, sprinklers, and windows/doors.

We appreciate your understanding as we invest in creating spaces that better support healing, care, and connection. Additional updates will be shared as milestones are reached.

Community Education Day

May 3rd at Manor House in Mason, Lindner Center of Hope will host its bi-annual Community Education Day, a half-day workshop held in recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness Month. The event is designed to increase awareness of mental health and wellness, encourage open conversation, and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness. It will feature a keynote presentation and multiple breakout sessions led by clinicians and experts, along with a community resource center available throughout the event.
