LINDNER CENTER OF HOPE - October 2025

Beacon Update

Progress continues at the Sibcy House expansion! Plumbing installation is well underway, and electrical work has officially begun. The foundation is set to be poured within the next couple of weeks, with truss installation to follow shortly after as the structure begins to take shape.

OCTOBER SPOTLIGHT

Estate Planning Week

National Estate Planning Awareness Week is October 20th-26th. This important week encourages individuals to thoughtfully consider the impact of their estate plans, not only for their own peace of mind but also to provide lasting support and security for their loved ones and communities. By planning ahead, you can help ensure that your resources are used to nurture and protect those you care about most, fostering a legacy of generosity and stewardship.

Construction Update

There are some exciting updates to share on the ongoing construction projects around campus.

Medical Office Building (MOB) & East Side Work:

Construction on the new Medical Office Building continues to progress. The gas line adjacent to the future foundation must be relocated, which has created some delays and will also postpone the closure of Lot A. In addition, engineers are evaluating a large concrete slab discovered at the site to determine its impact on the foundation of the new structure. We expect to resume work soon. Once the piers and piles are installed, steel is waiting offsite to be delivered. We’re hopeful to see steady and visible progress on the MOB very soon.

Sibcy House: Installation of underground utilities is underway, with completion expected later this month. Once that work is finished, visible structural progress will begin to move more quickly.

New Parking Lot: Sidewalks and curbs are being installed.

Fire hydrants have been placed. Electric work is underway.

Gravel installation is expected to begin this week. The goal is to have the new parking lot completed and ready for use by October 31.

We appreciate your continued patience and flexibility as construction progresses. Each step brings us closer to expanding our capacity to serve patients and families and advancing the mission of Lindner Center of Hope.

Honoring a Legacy

The campaign to support The Paul E. Keck, Jr., MD Endowed Chair for Bipolar Disorders is concluding. This special campaign was launched in March 2025 and has raised $1.63 million in honor of our founding President and CEO. Thank you to those who were a part of this tribute. LEARN MORE

Connection Changes Lives

Last summer, Dr. Michael Leadbetter set out on the Friendship Bus, a journey across the country to honor his late wife, Debbie, and to shine a light on the importance of friendship and connection for mental wellness.

One handshake, one hug, one story at a time... his journey raised nearly $67,000 to support mental health care at Lindner Center of Hope.

We are deeply moved by Dr. Leadbetter's passion, generosity, and wisdom. His story reminds us that connection truly changes lives.
