LINDNER CENTER OF HOPE - August 2025

Beacon Update

Hello from your friendly site mascot, Beacon! Just popping in with a quick construction update:

Vegetation clearing is now complete as we prepare to build the new bridge that will connect the parking lot to the building.

This is an exciting development, and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve access and safety for everyone. Stay tuned for more progress updates!

AUGUST SPOTLIGHT

Make a Will Month

August marks National Make a Will Month; an opportunity to reflect on how you can shape the future for those you love and the causes that matter most to you.

One meaningful way to leave a lasting impact is by including Lindner Center of Hope in your estate plans. Your legacy gift can help ensure that individuals facing mental health challenges will continue to receive expert care, support, and renewed purpose long into the future.

There’s no set amount required to make a difference. Gifts of all sizes have helped advance our mission and bring hope to countless lives.

Legacy gifts cost nothing today, but they allow you to make a powerful statement about your values while planning wisely for tomorrow.

Progress You Can See!

On the east side of campus, our Medical Office Building site is buzzing with activity. Utility work is over 75% complete, and preparations are underway for foundation work later this month. Driveway grading and retaining wall work are moving forward, setting the stage for better access to our buildings.

At Sibcy House, we’ve reached a major milestone: the foundation walls are poured and in place. It’s a strong and symbolic start for the diagnostic assessments and healing that are set to grow within those walls.

Even with the challenges of frequent rain, our teams and contractors are making steady progress. With each step—whether it’s a cleared bridge path to our new parking lot or the laying of storm drainage—we are building toward a future of greater reach and capacity.

Transforming Hope for Future Generations:

Betsy and Neil Winget's Gift from the Heart

Parents, Betsy and Neil Winget gave an inspiring $1.25 million gift to Lindner Center of Hope's Transforming Hope campaign because the Center saved their son Adam’s life. After years of heartbreak, failed therapy attempts, legal troubles, and watching their once happy child spiral into addiction and mental illness, the Lindner Center’s Sibcy House program provided the breakthrough their family desperately needed.

They experienced firsthand how Lindner Center of Hope:

  • Gave Adam the structure, care, and understanding he needed.
  • Properly diagnosed him with dual diagnoses: addiction, depression, alcoholism, and bipolar disorder.
  • Helped Adam begin his recovery journey with compassion and professionalism.
  • Supported them as parents through group sessions, education, and emotional healing.
  • Transformed Adam from a struggling, addicted young man into a hopeful college graduate with potential.

Betsy and Neil are deeply grateful because without Lindner Center of Hope, they believe Adam would either be dead or in jail. Their donation reflects their desire to give others the same chance at healing and hope that their family received.
