On January 19, 2022 the Archdiocese Strategic Planning leadership held a Zoom meeting with Stakeholders from Holy Rosary, St. Ann, St. John of the Woods, St. Rita of Cascia , and Visitation. The following items were discussed.

Meeting with the Archbishop
Parish Stakeholders who attended the January 13, 2022 meeting with Archbishop Etienne shared their impressions of the meeting. Leigh Stringfellow, Director of Strategic Planning, informed the group that the presentations made by 14 Stakeholders at the January 13 meeting will be available in a webinar. Parishioners will have an opportunity to view this webinar. More information to follow.

Pastor Advisory Team
The group felt the role of Stakeholder has concluded. However, there is still quite a bit of transition work to be accomplished for the new parish. A group of church leaders called the Pastor Advisory Team has replaced the Stakeholder group. This includes members that have already been working on new committees. The Advisory Team will meet with Fr. Tuan quarterly or more frequently as needed. St. Rita’s members on the Pastor Advisory Team are:
  • Yvonne Galati, Faith Formation Committee
  • Debbie Orlando, Communication Committee

As you read in a previous Transition Express News, the process of finding a name for the new parish continues. Parishioners were asked to select three names from a list of eight potential parish names. The top three names selected will be submitted to the Archbishop for his prayerful discernment.
