FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will timelines or flexibilities be provided to districts/charters that are reporting data for State Performance Plan (SPP) Indicator 13?
These reporting and submission requirements will not be adjusted. Districts and charters are encouraged to keep detailed records concerning LEA closures and student absences. Detailed records regarding SPP13 transition planning timelines may include but are not limited to school calendar/closures, student attendance records, comprehensive records of phone calls made or attempted, and copies of correspondence sent to/from parents. Districts and charters can provide clarifications of any missed timelines through the data clarification process in August, once the SPP 13 application closes on August 14th. For more information about the data clarification process, click here.

Reminders: The data collection period for SPP 13 is July 1 to June 30 of each year. Indicator 13 refers to students with disabilities who are at least 16 year old between July 1 and June 30 of the collection period, and students up through age 21 (age 22, if appropriate). This indicator requires a sampling procedure. This sample includes students who are age 15 but will turn age 16 by June 30 of the collection period.

All applicable districts are required to report data into the SPP 13 application, which opened on April 1, 2020. Please note the SPP 13 application will close on August 14, 2020.
