The word “departure” is defined as the act of leaving. This brief message is to announce the departure of Dr. Sandra Spooner, our Director of Operations. However, I define departure differently, because, though Sandra is leaving the official role that she has successfully filled for six years, her impact on the growth, development and success of COSEBOC will never leave. Her crafting and molding on our professional development, organizational and financial operations will be indelible. We will miss Sandra’s physical presence, her indefatigable work ethic and spirit of positive determination. However, her legacy of success will not depart. As of June 30, 2022, our dear friend and colleague of many years will spend well-earned and deserved time with family and friends. Please join me in sending a salute of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sandra Spooner.

It is hard to disconnect from all of you and this work in the midst of our productivity and success. However, I am grateful for the challenge and opportunity Ron offered me to join COSEBOC several years ago. I feel blessed to have worked with such committed, hardworking and talented group of staff, consultants, Board of Directors, clients, and partners to advance the mission of COSEBOC.
