Transitional Pastor Message August 26, 2026

Dear Members of Wellshire,

Nominations are open!

Paper and electronic Nomination Forms are available now through September 13 for you to suggest names of persons to serve on the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC). This PNC will have the responsibility of searching for Wellshire’s next Pastor/Head of Staff.

Serving on a PNC is a significant commitment of time—most likely as long as a year and will involve weekly meetings and some travel. Because pastor searches require significant use of technology, familiarity with computer technology is an important asset.

The Nominating Committee (NomCom) will assemble a slate of active, dedicated nominees who are representative of the congregation—varied in age, length of membership, and areas of engagement in the life of Wellshire. Because of the significant commitment required for this important task, we ask that you receive permission beforehand from the person you wish to nominate. This will be a great help to the NomCom, elected by the congregation in June, who has responsibility for prayerfully assembling a list of the seven (7) persons who will serve in this capacity.

The Session has voted to have one worship service at 10:00 am on October 4th (which is also World Communion Sunday, so a good day to worship as one Body of Christ!). The Congregational Meeting to elect the PNC will be held immediately following the worship service. The NomCom will present a PNC slate during the week before the October 4th vote.

Submit your Nomination Form online to the NomCom HERE. You may also submit a paper Nomination Form and drop it in one of the Nomination boxes by the sanctuary doors in the narthex or in the library.

I invite you to pray for your NomCom in the weeks ahead. In fact, I invite you to pray regularly for Wellshire Presbyterian Church as a whole as we continue this journey together.

Onward in faith,

Kim
