Dear Friends of the SLC Community,

For the last 3 years, Nancy Janiszewski has been the hub of the Spiritual Life Center. She has gracefully managed the office, overseen all our financials, and made sure any questions or requests that came to the Center got to the right person, including the significant number of folks who are seeking spiritual companionship or programs. She has also been a key member of our Board of Directors, helping craft our strategic plan and leading the Financial Committee.

Last spring, Nancy has discerned that it was time for her to take a step back from the day-to-day management of the office and finances of the Spiritual Life Center and spend more time with those beautiful grandbabies.

But never fear! Nancy will stay on in a different capacity as our Spiritual Companionship Coordinator. This has always been part of Nancy’s current job but will now be her focus. It is a role that was envisioned as part of living into our strategic plan and one that is critical to our mission and sustainability. Nancy’s primary role will be to deepen engagement with our current spiritual companions and seekers, as well as continue to ensure that those seeking spiritual companioning are on-boarded and welcomed into our community. She’ll be working on improving our ways of staying in touch and keeping track of our seekers and companions, updating our database, conducting regular analytics and trends, and working as a business lead as we upgrade or rebuild our database.

We are beginning the search for a new Office Manager, a critical role for our organization. An email with a job description will be coming out soon. Perhaps there is someone you know who might be interested in taking on this role. We hope to have it filled by October 15, 2022. Nancy will be staying on until someone is hired and help with their onboarding.

Thank you, Nancy, for being a wise and steady ballast and for your patience and teaching of me as I began my role here. I am so glad you are called to this new role and will remain an integral part of the Spiritual Life Center.
