Message from Tri-Bay President
Hello Mark ,
Happy New Year! We trust you had a fruitful and successful 2023. While the events of 2020 brought significant change to our world, we're steadily embracing new methods of conducting business. Some changes have been blessings, while others have posed challenges—perspective matters! The ongoing effects of the global pandemic require ongoing adaptation from us all.
Moreover, persistent global challenges often have solutions beyond reach. Amidst all this, an election year adds another layer of unpredictability. Yet, amidst uncertainty, we find reasons for optimism. Exciting innovations, from groundbreaking healthcare advancements to remarkable technological strides like Artificial Intelligence, continue to emerge. Moreover, our exploration of space expands with each passing day. As we embark on this new year, let's embrace the opportunities it presents and continue to navigate these changes together with resilience and optimism.
| Like many, I'm focused on personal growth based on the past year's lessons, often referred to as New Year's Resolutions. |
It's crucial for me to keep these insights at the forefront, ensuring they remain strong by the end of the first quarter. While we may claim to have learned from past experiences, the actual proof lies in implementing meaningful change. Adapting to new approaches while maintaining core values like family, generosity, gratitude, and positive contribution is critical to navigating life's evolving landscape.
Running a business demands continual adaptation to our surroundings. I commend every small business owner for their daily dedication to providing sought-after products and services. It takes courage and persistence to persevere through setbacks and challenges; their commitment is commendable.
The relationships I've cultivated over the years through tolerance have proven to be resilient. The stark reality of my mortality has become more apparent after losing friends of my age this past year. In the face of excessive hatred, the power of love becomes increasingly evident. The pursuit of power has emerged as a root cause of much of the economic, social, and political unrest we witness. In our post-pandemic world, personal health and well-being have rightfully taken precedence. It's become clear that responding to violence with violence is never a solution.
In 2024, personally and in business, my focus is to prioritize decisions that benefit the greater good, setting aside lingering emotions from past experiences. Regardless of the circumstances, I am committed to upholding the values that have sustained my business for over 11 years and ensuring that any regrets remain fleeting. Every choice I make, whether in conversation, written communication, or actions, carries weight and impact on those around me.
Taking a moment to pause before acting, speaking, or expressing an opinion can significantly influence someone's day or relationship strength. It's important not to let past outcomes dictate my future decisions. Acting out of anger or hurt can inadvertently affect others who are unrelated to previous experiences. Additionally, acknowledging and rectifying mistakes is an essential aspect of being human. When I misstep, I must make another decision and move forward.
In 2024, I'm committed to upholding the core values that drive our business and my personal life, recognizing that strong interpersonal relationships are fundamental to our success. If I'm unable to answer your call, please leave a voicemail. Your message signifies genuine interest in connecting, and hearing your voice will brighten my day. I eagerly anticipate our conversation!
We look forward to connecting with you soon and discussing how we can bring your project to life.
With Gratitude,

TRANSPARENCY IS CRUCIAL
FOR BUILDING TRUST

As we step into 2024, we acknowledge that the preliminary stages of construction projects have yet to see much change, especially since the onset of the pandemic.
Design, financing, and permitting remain as time-consuming as ever. However, our ability to cultivate relationships remains a cornerstone of our strength.
The timeless wisdom of Ben Franklin's "Failing to plan is planning to fail" and Abe Lincoln's "If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I would spend six sharpening my axe" remains highly relevant.
These insights can significantly impact the success of a construction project, ensuring smoother and more efficient progress during the construction phase.
Let's leverage these principles to navigate challenges and foster success in the year ahead.
Tri-Bay Construction remains dedicated to nurturing strong relationships with our clients, design teams, jurisdictions, subcontractors, and suppliers.
We recognize the immense value in maintaining positive interactions, even during challenging processes like permitting.
While it's undeniable that the permitting process can be frustrating, with ever-changing rules, inconsistent procedures, and difficulty obtaining accurate information, we understand the importance of approaching it with patience and understanding.
Taking out frustrations on permit technicians, who often have no control over these complexities, could be more productive and respectful.
| | |
Instead, we advocate for additional pre-planning and research to navigate the process more smoothly. By accepting the realities of the environment, we can provide more accurate timelines to our clients and ensure peace of mind in our approach. Transparency and patience remain key as we navigate the intricacies of the permitting process together.
The extra time required for pre-design, design, pre-permitting research, and permitting can pose challenges for small business owners, as time directly correlates with costs. These factors contribute to the ongoing rise in construction expenses.
| Through the adoption of an integrated project delivery system, the journey from planning and design to permitting can transform into a fulfilling experience as construction commences. Engaging in this collaborative approach has introduced us to some of the most inspiring and skilled individuals, fostering a positive and uplifting environment. | |
Warburton Storage Building
2400 square feet
Since our last update, I'm thrilled to report that we've successfully completed this project.
Despite encountering some supply chain and labor challenges along the way (yes, they're still a factor!), I'm delighted to share that the building is now fully operational and actively serving the Owner's needs.

Exciting news! We're embarking on a new project to enhance the resilience of our campus by installing a backup
Auxiliary Generator system. This initiative, currently in its initial planning, design, and fundraising stages, aims to ensure our campus remains fully operational during emergencies. Additionally, we aspire to transform our campus into a vital hub for first responders, equipped with facilities to accommodate and support them during crises.
Our secure facility strategically positions itself as an Emergency Hub in Maitland, Florida, with easy access to I-4 and various first responder and utility jurisdictions. With an initial grant from the State of Florida in 2023, we've already begun laying the groundwork for this essential project. Now, we're reaching out to our community for financial support to make this vision a reality.
We've assembled a dedicated and unified design team, which has completed feasibility studies and early designs and eagerly awaits the green light to proceed. If you're interested in contributing to this impactful community endeavor, please don't hesitate to contact me or our Security Team at Shalom Orlando.
Let's build a safer, more resilient future for our community, TOGETHER!
