Palm Beach Gardens Transit-Oriented Development Mobile Tour
The Palm Beach MPO and the City of Palm Beach Gardens hosted a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Mobile Tour, featuring presentations from the City, the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, and the MPO on current TOD plans and opportunities. Participants toured key TOD sites using local circulator service to travel between destinations. The event provided planners, local officials, and stakeholders with an on-the-ground look at strategies that support accessible, connected, and transit-supportive development.

The Dutch Cycling Transformation: Infrastructure & Communication Strategies

Rethinking Roads: Safer, Smarter, Streets for Florida Communities Webinar
Palm Beach MPO Executive Director Valerie Neilson and Governing Board Member City of Boca Raton Deputy Mayor Fran Nachlas will be speaking on the Rethinking Roads: A Complete Streets Approach to Safer Communities webinar on December 10. The speakers will highlight national policy trends, regional collaboration through the U.S. 1 Multimodal Corridor Study, and local leadership advancing safety, micromobility, and equitable design. U.S. 1 Jupiter Bridge Replacement Project Update
The newly constructed Riverwalk connection and observation deck under the south side of the U.S. 1 Jupiter Bridge are now open to the public. The new pathway improves access to Jupiter’s Riverwalk, nearby parks, and local businesses, providing a safe and scenic route for walking and biking. The full bridge replacement project is anticipated in early 2026.

2026 Safe Roads Summit Registration
The 2026 Safe Roads Summit will take place February 25–26, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center. The event is hosted by the Broward MPO in collaboration with the Miami-Dade TPO and the Palm Beach MPO. Formerly known as the Safe Streets Summit, this event brings together policymakers, technical experts, and community advocates to promote safer roads that support vibrant communities, drive economic development, and shape the future of transportation through innovation and technology. 2026 Safe Roads Summit Awards Nominations
The Safe Roads Summit Awards recognize individuals and agencies leading the way in creating safer roads across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Nominations are open for three categories: Safe Roads Champion Award, Safe Roads Community Award, and People’s Choice Award for Best Project. Winners will be selected in each county for the Champion and Community Awards, with one overall winner for the People’s Choice Award. Deadline for nominations is December 22, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
