East Coast Greenway Designation in Jupiter
Palm Beach MPO Executive Director Valerie Neilson and Deputy Director of Multimodal Brian Ruscher joined MPO Governing Board Members Chair Councilmember Chelsea Reed, Vice Chair Mayor Maria Marino, and Mayor Jim Kuretski, along with local leaders and partner agencies, at the Jupiter Riverwalk & East Coast Greenway Marker Designation Ceremony of the US-1 Bridge in Jupiter. Hosted by the Town of Jupiter and the East Coast Greenway Alliance, with support from regional and state partners, the event celebrated the official designation of a new segment of the East Coast Greenway, a 3,000-mile route connecting communities from Maine to Florida. 2025 Hispanic Leadership Summit
Our Executive Director, Valerie Neilson, joined Governing Board Members Commissioner Joel Flores and Deputy Mayor Susy Diaz on the Hispanic Leaders Panel at the Hispanic Leadership Summit, celebrating Hispanic culture and the leadership making a positive impact in Palm Beach County. The event included networking, panels, and keynote speaker Florida Supreme Court Justice Jorge Labarga.

Palm Beach MPO Hosts MPOAC Institute
The Palm Beach MPO was proud to host the Florida Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council (MPOAC) Institute on October 10, a statewide training program that helps MPO Board Members strengthen their leadership in transportation decision-making. The MPOAC team led interactive sessions on collaboration, governance, and strategic planning to support Florida’s transportation future. Executive Director Valerie Neilson, Chair Councilmember Chelsea Reed, Vice Chair Mayor Maria Marino, Commissioner Joel Flores, Mayor Jeff Hmara, Commissioner Deandre Poole, Mayor Bev Smith, and Vice Mayor Dana Middleton participated alongside MPO leaders from across the state.
