Peer Exchange

The TPA participated in a peer exchange visit to Austin, TX on April 13-14 with Palm Tran, South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), several board members and key local stakeholders to learn about their enhanced transit plans and mobility initiatives. Thank you to everyone who participated and to our hosts at CapMetro! We learned a lot and look forward to continuing our collaboration to implement a safe, efficient and connected multimodal transportation system in Palm Beach County.

Vision Zero Workshop

The TPA is hosting a Vision Zero Workshop on Friday, April 28 from 9 - 11 a.m. Join us at the TPA Office or listen virtually on Zoom to learn about creating a Vision Zero Action Plan, adopting a resolution, and funding opportunities. Register at the link below.

Transportation & Land Use Connection Panel

Join the TPA for a speaker panel on the connection of land use and transportation with public and private sector experts to learn about the benefits of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) and Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) and how to overcome challenges to advance implementation. The panel will be held on May 5 from 10 a.m. - noon. In-person attendance is recommended for this panel discussion but if you cannot attend, please join via Zoom. Register at the link below.

May is National Bicycle Month

May is National Bike Month, promoted by the League of American Bicyclists and celebrated in communities from coast to coast. Established in 1956, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more people to give biking a try. There are so many ways to celebrate Bike Month and to #BikeThere.

Trails make getting outdoors and around by foot, bike and wheelchair more accessible for everyone. Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) established a SS4A discretionary grant program with $5 billion in appropriated funds over 5 years. The SS4A FY 2023 grant application window is now open through July 10, 2023 to fund regional, local and tribal initiatives to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. 

Notice of Funding Opportunity

The Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI Program) is a new competitive grant program created by President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging and alternative fueling infrastructure in the places people live and work – urban and rural areas alike. The deadline to apply is May 30.
