Complete Streets

Complete Streets is a nationally-recognized term referring to roadways designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities. The Palm Beach TPA aims to achieve a safe, efficient and connected transportation system by implementing Complete Streets within our county’s diverse communities. Thank you to our local municipalities for adopting a Complete Streets Policy: Boynton BeachDelray BeachLake Worth Beach and Wellington. The TPA encourages local municipalities to adopt a Complete Streets Policy by using the resources on our website.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law established the new Reconnecting Communities Pilot discretionary grant program, funded with $1 billion over the next five years. The deadline for applications is  October 13.

Notice of Community Change Grants


The Community Change Grants program supports the growing network of advocates, organizations and agencies working to advance walkability. This program will award 15 grantees $1,500 in community grants for projects related to creating healthy, active and engaged places to live, work and play. The deadline to apply has been extended to Oct. 10.

The TPA joined the Board of County Commissioners' office to celebrate their mobility week proclamation. Mobility week will be held from October 21 through October 28. Mobility Week is to promote awareness of safe, multimodal transportation choices. Stay tuned for upcoming events.

The Safe Streets Summit is a collaborative effort between the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization, Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency to provide a local, yet regionally connected approach to prioritizing and implementing Complete Streets throughout Southeast Florida.
