Notice of Community Change Grants

The Community Change Grants program supports the growing network of advocates, organizations, and agencies working to advance walkability. This program will award 15 grantees $1,500.00 in community grants for projects related to creating healthy, active, and engaged places to live, work and play. The deadline to apply is September 30.

The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have a variety of competitive grant programs used to fund various types of transportation projects and activities. The matrix shows these programs by applicant type.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law established the new Reconnecting Communities Pilot discretionary grant program, funded with $1 billion over the next five years. The deadline for applications is  October 13.

Our first Park(ing) Day with the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority was a success! We loved talking with everyone who stopped by to learn about this worldwide event that temporarily repurposes curbside parking spaces and converts them into public parks and social spaces. We offered coffee and pastries from Salento Coffee Shop, mini golf, bicycle safety, educational resources and outdoor seating, all within a parking space.

The Vision Zero for Youth Leadership Awards recognizes communities that have taken bold steps to reach zero pedestrian and bicyclist serious injuries and deaths among children and youth with the goal of inspiring other communities to take action. Applications are now being accepted until October 21, 2022, for the 2023 Vision Zero for Youth Leadership Award.
