Rail Safety Week

It’s Rail Safety Week! Did you know that every 3 hours in the United States a person or vehicle is hit by a train? Help Stop Track Tragedies by always being cautious when approaching railroad crossings.  If you ever find yourself stopped on the tracks, get out of your vehicle and look for the blue signs to call for help.

We loved talking with everyone who stopped by to learn about this worldwide event that temporarily repurposes curbside parking spaces and converts them into public parks and social spaces. We offered coffee and pastries from Salento Coffee Shop, mini golf, bicycle safety, educational resources and outdoor seating, all within a parking space.
