The Dutch Cycling Transformation: Infrastructure & Communication Strategies

Walking Tour of Downtown West Palm Beach


Join the West Palm Beach DDA and Palm Beach MPO for a mobile tour on walkability and placemaking in downtown WPB. The event includes networking, a walking tour of completed and ongoing projects, and discussion of future opportunities. 2025 Transportation Industry Forum

Our Executive Director, Valerie Neilson, attended the 2025 Transportation Industry Forum with Deputy Directors Andrew Uhlir and Brian Ruscher. Valerie joined a panel with Aileen Bouclé, Greg Stuart, and moderator Dave Dech to discuss regional collaboration and the future of transportation in South Florida. 

Boca on the Move Safety Symposium



The Boca on the Move Safety Symposium brought together community partners dedicated to advancing bicycle and pedestrian safety across Palm Beach County. The Palm Beach MPO was proud to participate in this collaborative event, which included a tour of the pilot protected intersection, interactive safety exhibits, and an insightful panel discussion featuring our Deputy Director of Multimodal, Brian Ruscher. Thank you to the City of Boca Raton and all partner agencies for leading this important initiative to create safer, more connected streets for everyone.

We hosted our Building Support for Walkable and Bikeable Communities Workshop, bringing together local leaders and partners dedicated to creating safer, more connected communities. Alliance of Delray Residential Associations Presentation


The Palm Beach MPO's Executive Director, Valerie Neilson, joined the Alliance of Delray Residential Associations to talk about building a safer, more connected transportation future for Palm Beach County.

Boca Raton Autonomous Shuttle Launch


Join the City of Boca Raton for a community celebration launching MiCa, the City’s new autonomous electric shuttle, at Mizner Park on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 4 p.m. The event will feature shuttle demonstration rides, hands-on technology showcases, and opportunities to learn how autonomous transit is supporting safer, more connected, and sustainable mobility in Boca Raton. 2026 Safe Roads Summit Registration



The 2026 Safe Roads Summit will take place February 25–26, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center. The event is hosted by the Broward MPO in collaboration with the Miami-Dade TPO and the Palm Beach MPO. Formerly known as the Safe Streets Summit, this event brings together policymakers, technical experts, and community advocates to promote safer roads that support vibrant communities, drive economic development, and shape the future of transportation through innovation and technology. 2026 Safe Roads Summit Call for Speakers


The 2026 Safe Roads Summit is seeking speakers to share innovative ideas and proven strategies for improving transportation safety, fostering vibrant communities, and advancing public infrastructure innovation. Submit your proposal by November 14 through the Whova Submission Portal to be part of this national conversation on building safer, smarter, and more connected transportation systems.

Public Participation Plan Update

Florida’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program is now accepting applications for safety infrastructure grants available to eligible schools and local government agencies.


The Pedestrian and Bicycle Funding Opportunities Table, updated by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), highlights eligibility for pedestrian and bicycle activities and projects across USDOT surface transportation programs.


The Road to Zero Community Traffic Safety Grants are an annual opportunity to put the Road to Zero pillars into practice by supporting promising projects and programs that can help achieve the mission of zero traffic fatalities.
