 AN EXPERT MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING FIRM
Cal Poly Pomona's Transtech Engineers Scholarship Program
In honor of our 30th year in business, we wanted to give back and leave an everlasting legacy for young adults in the STEM field. We are very proud to announce that we have partnered with Cal Poly Pomona and have created the Transtech Engineers Scholarship Program. As the 2019 Fall Semester rolled out this past August, five students were awarded $3,000 each. We congratulate the 2019 scholarship award recipients, Civil Engineering students Kevin Gutierrez, Esther Kala, Johnny Baradii, Leonardo Martinez, and Edward Clay, all whom are set to graduate in Spring 2020. The scholarship will be annually given to five students in the Civil Engineering Department who have a 3.0 GPA or higher and have completed at least 2 years of their major. This gift was inspired in part by the team members and interns who attended Cal Poly Pomona. The education and skills gained through a polytechnic education at Cal Poly Pomona have proven to be a valuable asset to our company. We wanted to show our appreciation by supporting the next generation of engineers for many years to come! If you or someone you know is in the Civil Engineering Program at Cal Poly Pomona and is interested to learn more about the scholarship, you can contact us at info@transtech.org and we would be happy to connect you with the university.

The Concerts in the Park events are free concerts hosted by various cities during warm summer nights that combine entertainment with a small-town feel!
CALBO Education Week
Each fall, the CALBO Training Institute hosts Education Weeks throughout the golden state to provide continuing education for California Building Departments across the state. Transtech is an active member of CALBO and one of our team members, Ayla Jefferson, was recently appointed to the CALBO State Licensing Committee for a 2-year term. Our team attended the Training Institute; it was a great event that brought thousands together under one roof for code updates and discussions for promoting public health and safety in building construction through legislation, education, and building code development.
2019 ITE Western District Annual Meeting
Transtech team members, Jana Robbins and Karen Vigil, attended the 2019 ITE Western District Annual Meeting during the summer in the City of Monterey! The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a professional society of more than 15,000 transportation engineers, planners, and other professionals that is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of people on the streets, hi ghways, and transit systems. Our team attends this event every year to gain industry knowledge. By attending the seminars and exchanging opinions, ideas, techniques, and research on the current trends in active transportation, new development of traffic engineering standards, and recommended practice procedures, our team can better support our Clients.
