 AN EXPERT MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING FIRM
T ranstech Receives the Outstanding Community Service Award
Transtech Engineers, Inc. was recognized by the Temple City Chamber of Commerce at their 95th Annual Awards Gala and was honored with the Outstanding Community Service and Leadership Recognition. The Transtech team were recognized for their continued community service efforts by Assembly Member Ed Chau, Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the City of Arcadia, and the City of Temple City. It was an exciting evening hosted by the Temple City Chamber of Commerce. Transtech Engineers is honored to serve on the Board of Directors and looks forward to continuing our support of both business and community service efforts. We look forward to another great year for the Chamber and the City. Congratulations to all other award recognitions!
Transtech's Youth STEM Workshop
The Transtech team again volunteered to host an interactive STEM workshop at Monterey Park's 6th Annual Geranium Festival and Artwork! This fun-filled festival offered a variety of activities, contests, demonstrations, and exhibits for all ages. The Transtech team hosted a STEM booth focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics games for the children attending the festival. We used this educational opportunity to share our love of engineering with the youth of the community through an interactive booth where we offered several fun STEM-related activities for all ages to take home. The youth and our Transtech team members had a great time at this lively event!
Transtech Hosts Engineering Workshop for Young Women at the ELLAS (Embracing Latina Leadership Alliances) Annual Empowerment Conference
Transtech team members, Melissa Demirci and Karen Vigil, hosted an engineering workshop during the ELLAS Annual Empowerment Conference, held at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. This workshop was aimed to encourage students to pursue an academic career in a STEM field. Our team shared their personal experiences in college majoring in Civil Engineering as well as their transition to their careers. The workshop's goal is to empower young women in the community to advocate for themselves and others while making positive life choices. Transtech is a strong supporter of the Embracing Latina Leadership Alliances (ELLAS) organization and has worked in partnership with this nonprofit for almost a decade through volunteering and mentoring. This year, over 200 young women in middle school and high school participated in the conference which included panels and workshops.  ELLAS facilitates mentorship and leadership development opportunities to benefit young Latina students, encouraging them to pursue higher education.
The Transtech team volunteered their Saturday hosting two interactive community youth booths at the   Chino Youth Christmas Fair & Parade and   Downtown Arcadia’s Holiday Fair!   This year our booth had an interactive youth holiday-themed craft to make and take home. The craft we chose this year were ornaments! Our ornament options included a Reindeer, Christmas Tree, and Snowflakes. We saw so many creative ornaments and the children had a blast making them just as much as we did in helping them. Both events were jam-packed with music, raffles, food, and other various Holiday festivities! This was a fun way of giving back to the community and a great kick-off to the Holiday Spirit! We look forward to next year!
Transtech has a long tradition of coming together at the end of the year and hosting an employee appreciation luncheon where all Transtech team members and their families, including children, are invited to come celebrate their hard work and dedication over the year. As we enter 2020, we also closed out our 30th year in business – it was a wonderful opportunity to also combine our luncheon with a 30th Birthday Party for Transtech! Founded in 1989, Transtech Engineers is proud to be celebrating our 30th year in business. Several of the team members work throughout our various office locations as well as with different agencies across Southern California and this luncheon is an event we all look forward to so we can catch up with colleagues. Most importantly, this is our chance to recognize each team member and thank them for all their hard work and commitment. Thank you to the entire Transtech team for all that you do and we look forward to the next 30 years!
