Voices hosts a 9-month cohort of young changemakers on their advocacy council, Virginia’s Youth in Action (VAYA). This youth development program will enhance young advocates’ abilities to engage with lawmakers to advance their communities.


VAYA participants may earn up to $1800 based on attendance to monthly trainings with opportunity to earn more with completion of additional advocacy opportunities through May 2024.

During the youth mental health summit, Voices will recognize and celebrate advocates across VA who amplify polices that improve the lives of children and youth.


Eligible nominees include: organizations and individuals involved in:

  • public policy
  • advocacy
  • public awareness
  • program development
  • grassroots organizing
  • data analysis
  • research
  • other civic or community-level service.


Current elected officials or anyone running for elected office are not eligible for the Amplify Awards.


Greater Richmond SCAN would like you to directly impact the creation of E-learning TIC modules. These short videos capture the experiences in our communities and seek to educate Virginians on trauma and resilience. These videos are made possible through federal funds for public awareness initiatives.
