THE ICING TO THE CAKE...TRAVEL IS BACK

NY Travel and Adventure Show 2022

Dear Members and Colleagues,

The inaugural 3-day New York Travel and Adventure Show at Javits Center has been rewarding. Many thanks to Chandan Sen and Elizabeth Chin for spending their weekend to manage our PATA New York booth. Turnout was great and we were privileged to welcome at our booth some prominent figures in the tourism industry.

Based on the reaction of both Exhibitors and Consumers, confidence in TRAVEL is back.

Travelers' confidence is up significantly from just a few months ago, says a new survey with results showing a distinct shift in positive sentiments across all key touchpoints. Results show that excitement towards travel is way up and that the vast majority of the travelling public are definitely planning to travel in 2022.

More planes are returning to the skies. More hotels are reopening their doors, and more vehicles are on the roads. Around the world, people who have been stuck at home for months want to visit friends and relatives, take a much-needed break, or simply to return to some normality.

NEVER NEVER SAY YOU'RE SORRY ... TRAVEL WHERE YOUR HEART TAKES YOU.

Happy Travels,

Joebert Opulencia

Technologies like AI are beginning to be deployed to tackle the current challenges faced by destinations and local communities. Next gen game changers like 6G are still on the horizon offering truly immersive travel experiences. Technology will usher in an era of hyper-connectivity and offer consumers truly immersive experiences.
