It has been a very difficult time for the tourism industry worldwide and specifically in Namibia, as tourism plays a larger than normal part in the Namibian economy. We have experienced suffering and endured great hardship at Onguma as well, but we survived! 

It is with excitement that we approach the dawn of a new tourism season in Namibia. We cannot wait to celebrate this time with you after months of darkness and hardship.

We have been open for local Namibian tourists for a while now, so all our precautionary measures are in place and well implemented to ensure your guests' stay safe with us.

Our teams are ready to welcome your clients to Onguma where our vast open spaces, fresh air and amazing wildlife will ensure our guests' souls are reset and nourished. 

The reserve has also had its very first 20mm of rain this past week, marking the beginning of our second rain season for 2020. After 3 years of continuous drought which has impacted everyone across Namibia, Onguma continues to donate grass to farmers in need of drought relief.

Wildlife is booming with new born youngsters, and we are experiencing regular sightings of elephant, lions and leopards whilst we eagerly await your clients return.

-Ethiopian Airlines have resumed international flights to Windhoek 
-Eurowings is due to resume international flights to Windhoek on 20th September 2020
-Qatar is due to resume international flights to Windhoek on 1st October 2020
All of Onguma's Camps are Open

We are making booking safe & easy for you and your guests with a zero-cancellation fee up to 24 hours before arrival if your guests cannot travel due to Covid-19.

Onguma's health & safety protocols are all in place - tried and tested. We welcome you to review the procedures we have in place to ensure a safe stay for guests.
