New TSUSA Chair
2018 - 2019
This August Kristen Branscum assumes the Chairmanship of the Travel South USA Board of Directors. Kristen has been an active member of the Board since 2016 when she was appointed the commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Tourism. In addition to the TSUSA Board, she currently sits on U.S. Travel Association's National Council of State Travel Directors. Her roots in the South run deep as she is a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Kentucky. We certainly look forward to working with her over the next year!
International Showcase Registration
Nashville, Nov. 26 -29
Sign-ups for International Showcase have been brisk these past few weeks. Now with only a couple of dozen supplier PODS available, time is running out to take advantage of the Early Bird pricing (ends Sept. 1). Already more than one hundred International Buyers and U.S. Receptive Operators have committed to joining this 7th annual marketplace. With a dozen countries represented, including China, Brazil, Australia, Germany and South Africa, this International Showcase will entertain an even more diverse group of countries!
International Showcase is the only show that positions southern destinations and attractions in front of focused, international buyers. There are smaller crowds, shorter distances from the hotel to the conference center meeting place and extremely affordable registration fees. Unsure of whether to join us? View this comprehensive video of what delegates said about 2017's Showcase.
>Super FAM trips. (two FAMS remain open)

Global Partner Program
50% investment increase YOY

Do you know about the Global Partner Program (GPP)? Travel South recently hit a milestone with this innovative program as all of our represented states joined this growing endeavor. GPP is a shared advertising, marketing and sales program serving the need to grow and extend our global messaging into countries that state tourism offices would otherwise not have the resources to invest in alone. In a pay-to-play model, participating states utilize collective funds that are used to contract in-country representatives that provide year-round promotional efforts, execute marketing campaigns, aggressively seek earned media and work closely with on-going Brand USA efforts.
