Two weeks ago, I wrote to you about our cruise from Sydney, Australia to Seattle. We had space for 280 people and filled that space up the first day. We were able to add more space, and over the weekend, we filled that up too. Princess just gave us space for 100 more people. We cleared everyone off the waitlist, and we now have even more space.

This trip is a deal! It is a bit longer than our previous Australia/South Pacific cruises as it features visits to five ports of call in New Zealand. Greetings from sunny and gray Seattle,

The sun is trying to peak through…but fall is definitely here. I’ve been “on the road”, chasing summer all over the world, so I almost forgot that the weather is beginning to cool at home! The good news is that it will be warm weather on Sunday, when I get off the plane in Sydney. On Monday morning, I will meet the group of 400 Travel With Alan travelers that have been sailing across the Pacific for the last month. I will be with them for their 2-night, or 4-night, post-cruise package in Sydney.

Today, I am pleased to tell you that after the Majestic Princess completes her season in Australia, she will be returning to North America next spring for her summer season in Alaska. Join our group on April 6, 2024, as we fly from cities all across the United States and Canada to Sydney, Australia. We will arrive in Sydney on the morning of April 8th, after crossing the International Date Line. We’ve included two nights in Sydney at a 5-star hotel. While we are in Sydney, we have a Sydney city and beaches tour, a dinner atop Sydney’s iconic Sydney Tower, breakfast daily and all transfers.

On April 10^th, we will transfer from the hotel to the pier, where we will board Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess. You will then embark on a 33-day voyage, taking you around New Zealand, then to Papeete, Tahiti, for two days in French Polynesia, around the Hawaiian Islands, and up the West Coast for visits in British Columbia, before sailing through Puget Sound, into Seattle. Your cruise will end in Seattle on May 12^th. For this cruise, we are not including air at the end of the cruise. If you are flying out of the Sea-Tac International Airport on May 12^th, you should schedule a flight departing after 12:00 PM (Noon). While you can book an airport transfer through Princess, either before the cruise, or while you are onboard, you may find a taxi or Uber/Lyft to be more convenient.

As usual, the best part about this package is the price…$5,350 per person, based on double occupancy. This price includes one-way economy class air from many major airports the United States and Canada to Sydney, Australia. This price also includes the two-night pre-cruise package in Sydney with 5-star hotel, breakfast daily, Sydney city tour, dinner at the Sydney Tower, and all transfers. The price also includes the 33-night cruise aboard the Majestic Princess, with an upgrade to a Balcony Stateroom. This package also includes all of the amenities of the “PRINCESS PLUS®” package. You will also have a tour to the Australian countryside, featuring a cruise on the Hawkesbury River with lunch. This “extension” package is $490 per person, based on double occupancy.
