Greetings, once again from Lynnwood, Washington. The sun is trying to come out, but it may be a few more weeks until we see spring!
I returned late last night from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I met 490 Travel With Alan travelers boarding the Emerald Princess who for an “ocean-to-ocean” Panama Canal cruise. I will meet that group in a few weeks when their cruise ends in Los Angeles. Earlier in the week, there was a massive storm in Fort Lauderdale, causing major flooding in Fort Lauderdale, closing the airport. Fortunately, the airport reopened in time for our group, although there were flight delays and other issues. Still, we got everyone to the ship on-time, and they are all comfortably aboard their Princess Panama Canal cruise.
I am leaving next week for Honolulu, Hawaii, where I will meet our group spending two nights in Honolulu, before boarding their Seabourn cruise around the Hawaiian Islands and to Vancouver. I will then fly to Los Angeles, where I will meet our group returning from their Princess Panama Canal cruise. I will then go to Vancouver, where I will meet our two groups returning from their Australia cruise and their short Pacific Coastal cruise.
As you probably know, I have been writing to you recently about our cruises aboard Seabourn Cruise Line. Our Seabourn offers usually sell out in less than 24 hours. Still, we have had many requests for a Seabourn cruise that’s closer to home. Well, today I’m pleased to tell you that we have added a Seabourn cruise to Alaska! Seabourn has some very unique Alaska cruise itineraries this summer aboard their intimate 458 passenger Seabourn Odyssey. We have been given very special Travel With Alan pricing on one of their best itineraries. This cruise includes some popular ports of call that people like to visit, such as Juneau and Ketchikan but also includes some ports of call and scenic cruising that the big ships cannot visit. You will see spectacular sights and visit some unique ports of call, all while enjoying an ultra-luxury Seabourn experience.
Over the last few years, we have been booking a lot of Seabourn cruises. Seabourn is the ultimate in luxury cruises. They are expensive, but once you get the full Seabourn experience, it’s hard to go back! And, when you put it all on paper, with everything that is included, you will see the excellent value. On Seabourn, every room is a “suite”. The suites are much larger than your typical stateroom, they are very well appointed.
People are thrilled with Seabourn…..and they don’t want to leave when the cruise is over. The crew to guest ratio is among the highest in the business and the service is impeccable. People also rave about the food, entertainment and the relaxed “country club” lifestyle onboard. With the smaller ships, Seabourn is able to get closer to the port cities and the scenery. Guests also love knowing that almost everything is paid for…..even high-end wines and spirits and the onboard tips…..all included!
When you see the Seabourn Odyssey, she looks like a big, beautiful ship. She has all of the features of a larger ship; a showroom, multiple dining options, lounges, casino, gym, spa, etc., yet she carries only 458 guests. These guests are catered to by a staff of 330……over double the staffing ratio of other cruise ships. This crew is dedicated to showing all of the ship’s guests the best possible time.
For this package, we have combined a deluxe two-night pre-cruise package in Vancouver with a 10-night/11-day Alaska and British Columbia cruise on Seabourn. This cruise features some less-visited ports…perfect for those of you who’ve been to Alaska before. It also is an opportunity to sample the Seabourn life, at a reasonable cost and closer to home!
Join our group on June 7th for a special cruise and tour adventure. Your tour will begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with a two-night pre-cruise package. Your Vancouver package includes two nights at a Downtown, first-class hotel, with a breakfast buffet each day. Your tour also includes a Vancouver city tour and a big “Bon Voyage” dinner, with the entire group. On June 9th, you will be transferred to the Canada Place Pier, in Vancouver, where you will board the beautiful Seabourn Odyssey for your 10-night Alaskan cruise.

What a unique itinerary! Best of all, we were given a very special rate for this cruise and tour package...$5899 per person for our whole package, based on double occupancy. Government taxes, fees, and port expenses of $600 per person are additional. This package includes the two-night pre-cruise stay in Vancouver, and the 10-night cruise aboard the Seabourn Odyssey. The package also includes round-trip air from most major U.S. and Canadian airports to Vancouver and all transfers. Of course, all of the Seaborn “extras” that you are used to, such as gourmet dining, premium beverages and wine, onboard gratuities, and round-the-clock pampering are included.
For those of you who live in the Pacific Northwest, we will also have motor-coach transfers from the Sea-Tac Airport area, the Lynnwood area, or the Bellingham area to the hotel in Vancouver with a return transfer from the pier at the end of the cruise. If you choose to take these transfers instead of the air and Vancouver airport transfers, you can deduct $400 per person from the package price. We are working on securing a special rate at a hotel in the Sea-Tac area where you can stay before or after the tour. The hotel will also include free parking for the entire length of the tour, for anyone staying at the hotel the night before or after the tour and cruise.
Our price also includes an upgrade to a Veranda Suite, with a private balcony. If you prefer a higher up and mid-ship location, you can upgrade to a “Category V3” Veranda Suite for an additional $475 per person. You can also upgrade to the very best suite locations in a “Category V4” Veranda Suite for an additional $675 per person. We also have a limited number of “Penthouse Suites” available for an additional $1950 per person. These are extra-large suites with a separate bedroom and a large private balcony.
This is an excellent deal, especially with the airfare and pre-cruise package included. Space for this cruise is, of course, limited. We will take reservations this afternoon until we close at 5:00 PM Pacific Time, or until we sell-out….whichever comes first. If we still have space, we will resume when we open tomorrow at 9:00 AM. I hope you can join us and experience what Seabourn is all about. To save your spot, give us a call at:
