Hello from cold and gray Lynnwood, Washington…At least it’s not snowing!

I know that you’ve heard from me a lot in the last week or so, but our travel supplier partners keep giving us more irresistible deals. Today I have one for you with an often asked for itinerary, that we haven’t offered in a long time…a “Colonial America” cruise to the Eastern Seaboard, aboard the Island Princess!

Join our group on June 24th, as we fly from cities from across the U.S. and Canada to New York. Our flights will arrive at Newark International Airport, where we will have a one-night pre-cruise stay at a first-class airport area hotel. The next morning, we will have breakfast at the hotel, before boarding our coaches for the pier, in New York. Here, we will board the Island Princess, for a 10-night cruise throughout the East Coast of the U.S. and Canada. We will have that evening, and all of the next day, to get settled into our floating hotel at sea.

After leaving New York’s busy harbor, we will sail south to Norfolk, Virginia, for a full day. Norfolk is a waterfront city in southeastern Virginia. It’s home to Naval Station Norfolk, a massive naval base on Chesapeake Bay. Nauticus is a maritime museum that features the Battleship Wisconsin, a huge WWII warship. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful waterfront city. From Norfolk, we will sail further south to Charleston, South Carolina. In between, we will have a day at sea to fully enjoy all of the features, entertainment, programing, and pampering aboard the Island Princess. Charleston was founded in 1670, and is defined by its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and pastel antebellum houses, particularly in the elegant French Quarter and Battery districts. The Battery promenade and Waterfront Park both overlook Charleston Harbor. Charleston is the home of Fort Sumpter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired.

After Charleston, we will have two more days at sea, while we sail north to Saint John, New Brunswick, in Eastern Canada. Saint John is a city on the Bay of Fundy, in New Brunswick, Canada. It’s known for the Reversing Rapids, a phenomenon caused by bay tides colliding with the Saint John River, causing the water to actually flow backwards. Food and craft stalls fill the Saint John City Market, in an 1876 building. On a peninsula nearby, trails wind through Irving Nature Park’s salt marshes, volcanic rock and forests. We will have a full day in this rustic port city. After an evening of music, meals, and entertainment aboard the Island Princess, we will wake up the next morning in Boston, Massachusetts. Boston is the capital and most populous city in Massachusetts. The city serves as the cultural and financial center of New England. You can visit the Public Gardens, the Boston Commons, and the historic North Church, famous for its role in Paul Revere's midnight ride on April 18, 1775. After Boston, we will have one more day at sea, to try to do the things you never had a chance to do, aboard the ship. We will also have a Fourth of July celebration aboard the ship.

On July 5th, we will wake up in New York Harbor. After leaving the ship, we will board our coaches, and meet our guides, for a New York City tour. Our tour will take us through Manhattan, past many of the city’s popular icons. You will see the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Times Square and the 9/11 Memorial. Later that afternoon, your tour will end at the Newark Liberty International Airport for your flight home.

WOW. This is a fantastic itinerary. Onboard the Island Princess, we have, once again, included the full “Princess Plus” package. This gives you complimentary drinks throughout the cruise, including cocktails, sodas, smoothies, beer, wine by the glass, and more. You also get complimentary Wi-Fi, two meals in one of the ship’s special “casual” restaurants, and more. Also, your daily “crew appreciation” charges are all pre-paid.

As usual, the best part about this package is the price...just $2150 per person, based on double occupancy. Government taxes, fees, and port expenses of $395 per person are additional. The single supplement for solo travelers is $1150 in a Balcony Stateroom.

This price already includes an upgrade to a Balcony Stateroom. You can also upgrade to a very spacious Princess Mini-Suite, for an additional $290 per person, based on double occupancy. Our price also includes round-trip air from most major U.S. and Canadian airports to and from Newark. On the last day of the tour, July 5th, we have included a Manhattan tour before you fly home.

This is a deal…and there are so many “extras” that are included. This one will go very quickly. This is an amazing deal, and we haven’t offered anything like it is a long time.
