Hello Traveler and greetings from sunny Lynnwood, Washington.
It has been a crazy busy time here at Travel With Alan. For us, this is a busy year with all the new bookings combined with the “roll-over” bookings from last year and the year before. This weekend, alone, we have three big groups departing on different Alaska cruise/tours. I will be up early Saturday and Sunday mornings, dispatching buses to Vancouver, where the tours begin. We also have four different groups in Europe now, on different tours, cruises, and river cruises.
In the spring, I received an offer from Princess for a cruise going from Vancouver, British Columbia and down to California, visiting 4 great California ports of call and then returning to Vancouver. We sold-out in one day but the next day, after reformulating their “return to service” Princess cancelled the cruise. Since they were offering the same cruise in the fall, they offered to move everyone to the fall sailing and guarantee the same price…and it was an amazing price…with lots of “extras”!
Now Princess is again offering us this fall cruise and giving us the same price…and with all the same amenities. In fact, this cruise is such a good deal that the upgrades and amenities are worth more that the cruise itself…. it’s like getting the cruise for nothing.
Join our group on September 22nd, as we transfer you from the Seattle area to the Canada Place Pier, in Vancouver. There, in Vancouver, you will board the beautiful Crown Princess for a 10-day cruise down the West Coast and back. We will board the ship in Vancouver and sail to:
San Francisco, California
San Diego, California
Los Angeles, California
Santa Barbara, California
Vancouver, British Columbia
This cruise is a great way to stretch the summer a little further, especially for those living in the Pacific Northwest. Also, for those in the Pacific Northwest it’s great to be able to go on a cruise like this without having to fly, either before or after the cruise.
While onboard the Crown Princess, you will enjoy meals around the clock, in their main dining rooms and buffets, 24-hour room service, and more. There will be big shows every night and entertainment around the ship. You can also enjoy extended stays in your ports of call, including a 15-hour call in San Francisco.
The best part about this cruise is the price…$1179 per person, based on double occupancy. Government taxes, fees, and port expenses of $253.01 per person are additional. This price includes your cruise, with meals and entertainment, round-trip motorcoach transfers from the Seattle area to Vancouver, and a whole ton of extras! These “extras” include:
A guaranteed upgrade to a balcony stateroom
Princess’ Premier Beverage Package
Standard pre-paid onboard gratuities
Complimentary Wi-Fi onboard
One dinner in one of the ship’s specialty restaurants
This means you will have a great “unobstructed” balcony stateroom. While onboard, you can enjoy complimentary beverages in the ship’s bars and restaurants. This includes beer, wine by the glass, cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, and specialty coffees and teas. All your standard onboard gratuities (tips) will be pre-paid for you. Each guest will have complimentary wi-fi service on one device, and you will have a dinner in one of the ship’s specialty restaurants. Like I said, the value of all the extras is worth more than the cruise itself!
You can also upgrade to one of the ship’s Mini Suites, which give you about 50% more space, both in the room and on your balcony, for just $390 per person. You can find out more about the Crown Princess and even view a ship video by clicking on this link:

This price also includes round-trip transfers from the Seattle area to and from the pier in Vancouver. We will have a pick-up location available in the Sea-Tac Airport area, in Lynnwood, and in the Bellingham area. We are negotiating a special rate at our Sea-Tac Airport area hotel if you would like to stay there the night prior to the cruise. Our transfer bus will then pick you up right at the hotel. For those that are flying into Seattle, this hotel will provide a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel. For those driving, the hotel will also offer a discounted parking rate, to leave your car for the entire time of your stay and the full cruise. If you decide to fly or drive into Vancouver, you will be on your own for transfers to the pier, but we will give you $100 per-person in onboard credit, to spend during the cruise. Currently, you do not need to make any of these decisions. About 30 days prior to the cruise, you will receive a questionnaire, where you can check-off your option for a bus pick-up point or the shipboard credit. At that time, you will also be able to order a pre-cruise or post-cruise hotel, with or without parking.
This is a fantastic cruise, at a great price…and included “extras” that are worth more than the cruise itself! Also, with the Princess “Cruise With Confidence” guarantee, you can cancel up to 30 days in advance, for any reason, and get the full amount paid returned to you in future cruise credits.
