We continue to stay very busy. This last weekend, I was loading buses again to go to Vancouver, Canada. On Sunday we had 460 people boarding Holland America Lines’ Nieuw Amsterdam to go to Alaska. Some were on a 14-day cruise/tour, some were on an 11-day cruise/tour, and some were on a 15-day round-trip cruise. Our last Alaska cruise/tour for the season will be leaving this coming Sunday!
Our European River cruise and Transylvania tour sold-out in less than three hours. We were then offered the same cruise a week later, at the same price. We filled that one up in a day, from the waiting list.

WOW! A lot of ports. Your cruise will end in Miami, Florida on October 31st. At the port of Miami, we will be met by our buses and guides, who will be waiting to take us on a Miami city tour. Our tour will include Miami’s “Little Havana” where we will have a Cuban lunch at one of the area’s most popular Cuban restaurants. Your tour will end up at either the Fort Lauderdale or Miami International Airport, for your flight home.
While this cruise is a fantastic itinerary for people living across the United States and Canada, it is an especially great for those living in the Pacific Northwest and those living in Florida, as you only need to fly one way! Living in Seattle, I love it when I can just get a ride or take an Uber to the pier and hop right on the ship, and sail away!
Now, for what you’ve been waiting for…drumroll please…The total price for this package is only $1,799 per person; based on double occupancy. AMAZING! This price includes: the 20-day cruise from Seattle to Miami, an upgrade to a balcony stateroom, three dinners per person in any of the ship’s specialty restaurants, 300-minutes of internet usage per person, a $50 per stateroom shore excursion credit for each port, a Miami city tour with a Cuban lunch, airport transfer, and more.
Government taxes, fees, and port expenses of $574.97 per person are additional. Prepaid gratuities of $343.80 per person are additional. This price also includes NCL’s famous “Unlimited Open Bar” program (Premium Beverage Package). This allows you to order cocktails, beer, wine by the glass, sodas, mocktails, and more, up-to $15 per drink, at all open bars and restaurants throughout the cruise. This package alone normally sells for $99 per person, per day…more than the cost of our entire package! To activate this package, you must pre-pay the 20% gratuity and beverage surcharge. This amounts to $396 per person, for the 20-day cruise. All adults in the stateroom must accept or decline this package.
This is a screaming deal. There is no air included at the beginning of this trip. Everyone must make their own way to Seattle. We are including air, at the end of the cruise, and after the tour and lunch, to most major U.S. and Canadian airports. We also have a “reverse air” program for Florida residents. If you select Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, or Tampa for your airport, we will fly you from your selected airport to Seattle on October 10th. We will provide one night at the Embassy Suites by Sea-Tac Airport, breakfast, and a transfer from the hotel to Seattle’s Pier 66 on October 11th. With this option, your tour will end, after the cruise, at the Port of Miami. Please note that this “reverse air” program is only valid from these four airports.
We are currently negotiating with that same hotel for rooms on October 10th, for those of you flying independently into Seattle. We will package this up with a transfer to the pier on the 11th. We are also negotiating a rate for parking, for those of you driving in from around the Pacific Northwest. Everyone signing up for this tour will receive an e-mail within a week, with these options.
With the new COVID guidelines, vaccinated travelers will no longer need a COVID test before the cruise. Unvaccinated travelers are welcome but will need a COVID test within 2 days of boarding the ship. Unvaccinated travelers will not be permitted to disembark the ship in Costa Rica. As always, these COVID guidelines are subject to change.
