Hello from rainy Lynnwood, Washington:

Well, I’m back in the office! Last Thursday I flew (again) to San Diego, California. On Friday morning, I met the big group sailing into San Diego after their trek to the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico, by way of the Panama Canal, aboard Holland America Line’s ms Rotterdam.  I had met this same group nearly three weeks earlier in Fort Lauderdale. Then, on Saturday morning, I met the big group that was flying into San Diego for their Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the ms Oosterdam. Between these two groups, I met over 500 Travel With Alan travelers in San Diego. Then, on Sunday I flew to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On Monday I met our group flying into Florida for their Caribbean cruise aboard the Seabourn Sojourn. On Tuesday morning I went to the Port of Miami to meet the group returning from their Caribbean cruise aboard the Seabourn Sojourn. They were all on “Cloud 9”, sharing their stories about their Seabourn experience. I then returned to the hotel in Fort Lauderdale to meet the group that had flown in the day before and got them on their buses to the pier in Miami. I then quickly packed my bag and went to the Fort Lauderdale Airport and flew home. I was back in the office, bright and early, yesterday morning. I have three days in the office before I fly out again, tomorrow night, to San Diego. I will be meeting the  group that boarded the ms Oosterdam a week ago for their Mexican Riviera cruise. I will get many in the group on their buses to the San Diego International Airport. Then I will meet the group that is staying on in San Diego for our two-night optional post-cruise tour. They will board buses for their San Diego city tour, with our local guides. We will then check-in to the hotel for a two-night stay. On Monday, I will fly to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (again). On Tuesday, throughout the day, I will meet the 220 Travel With Alan travelers that are flying into Florida for their Christmas and New Years cruise through the Panama Canal aboard the Emerald Princess. After I get them on their ship on Wednesday, I will fly back to Seattle!

I’m always on the lookout for a great deal….and I just found another one……Springtime in Hawaii aboard one of my very favorite ships, the ms Eurodam! This ship has so many features including my favorite specialty restaurant at sea, Tamarind, an Asian Fusion restaurant and my favorite bar…. the Silk Den. When Holland America came out with their “Signature Class” ships, they added many bells and whistles!!

Holland America Line is famous for their Hawaii cruises. Their goal is to make you feel like you are in the islands from the minute you step aboard. In addition to the special Hawaiian entertainment, the Eurodam has all of the new Holland America Line features. The ms Eurodam has all of the latest Holland America entertainment enhancements including America’s Test Kitchen; B.B. Kings Blues Club; Lincoln Center Stage, featuring classical music performances; BBC Earth Explorations; Digital Workshop, featuring computer classes; Billboard Onboard, featuring lively dueling piano entertainment, and much more. There is so much to do aboard the Eurodam while you are crossing from the West Coast to the Hawaiian Islands. This year, Holland America has lengthened their Hawaiian cruise to 17 nights /18 days. This allows for two full days and an overnight onboard in Honolulu!  Get a jump start on your summer and spend spring in the Hawaiian Islands…and all without the long trans-Pacific flights!

Join our group on February 29th for our 18-night/19-day cruise to the Hawaiian Islands.  On the afternoon and evening of February 29 th , our group will arrive in San Diego and transfer to your room at the nearby San Diego Sheraton Harbor Island. Here you will check into your room, with private balcony. The next morning, you will enjoy the Sheraton’s extensive buffet breakfast. Around mid-day, you will board our coaches for the very short transfer to the San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal where you will board the ms Eurodam. That evening, we will sail out of San Diego’s harbor, headed to the Islands. After five days at sea, enjoying all of the amenities and entertainment that the Eurodam has to offer… including all of the special Hawaiian offerings, you will wake up in Honolulu. You will have two full days in Hawaii, including an overnight. Here are all of the ports you will be visiting:

·        Kona, Hawaii
·        Honolulu, Oahu (overnight in port)
·        Lahaina, Hawaii
·        Hilo, Hawaii
·        Scenic cruising of the Kilauea Volcano
·        Ensenada, Mexico
·        San Diego, California

After your time in the islands, you will cruise back across the Pacific, taking all of the Hawaiian entertainment and “aloha” with you. You will then have an afternoon and evening in Ensenada, Mexico before returning to San Diego on March 18th.

As usual, the best part about this cruise is the price... just $1699 per person, based on double occupancy, for the full 18-night/19-day package. Government taxes, fees, and port expenses of $175 per person are additional. This price includes round-trip air from Seattle to San Diego
