Charleston, the South Carolina port city founded in 1670, is a charming city defined by its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and pastel antebellum houses, and we will be exploring it together!


The Women's Trip Committee has put together an itinerary with

a historic district hotel, scenic tours, and the opportunity to

visit many of the iconic places Charleston has to offer.

Trip Deposit Due March 1, 2024

Friday, Sept. 27th, 2024


Depart McPherson at 8:00am Board Village Bus coach for Wichita airport. Flight departs at 11:20am. One layover in Atlanta. Arrives in Charleston at 5:07pm. The coach will be picking us up from Charleston airport and taking us to our hotel - Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Historical District. Check into the hotel. Enjoy dinner together. 

Saturday, Sept. 28th, 2024


Depart at 9:00am for a walking tour of Charleston. Our private walking tour will include Charleston churches, gardens, graveyards, and public buildings. The tour will commence at 11:00am. This afternoon at 12:30pm, we will do a private culinary tour. This tour will last approximately 2.5 hours and include tastings at 4 restaurants. Free time this evening. 

Sunday, Sept. 29th, 2024


Depart the hotel at 9:30am for a short walk to Charleston Harbor. We will depart at 10:00 am on the Schooner Pride Sailboat for a 2-hour relaxing sail around Charleston Harbor. We will see points of interest such as White Point Gardens, The Battery, Fort Dorchester, Fort Moultrie, Castle Pickney, Fort Sumter, and Patriots Point. The afternoon and evening is yours to explore your interests or sign up for an optional tour below.

 

Optional tours- September 29th. Based on availability. Transportation is not included.

* Fort Sumter Tour with roundtrip ferry- 2:30-4:30pm ($37.00 per person)

* Ghost Tour of Historic Charleston- 8:00-9:30pm ($35.00 per person) 

Monday, Sept. 30th, 2024


Depart this morning at 10:00am for the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. It is approximately a 45-minute drive. The 4.5 hour, half day tour will include a guided walk through the show-stopping Romantic Garden, experience history on a 45-minute narrated nature tram ride through the Audubon Swamp Gardens, see wildlife such as alligators, egrets, and herons on the nearly 600-acre plantation, and go back in time with a 30-minute tour of the Magnolia Plantation Home. We will return to the hotel around 4:00 pm. Free time this evening. 

Tuesday, Oct. 1st, 2024


Check out of the hotel. The coach will depart at 9:00am for Charleston airport. Flight will depart Charleston at 12:35pm. We will have one layover in Atlanta and will arrive in Wichita at 4:49pm. Village Bus coach will transport us back to McPherson.

Triple: $2072.

Quad: $1957


Add $50 for those who are not Chamber members yet.

2nd payment of $800 due by April 27th


Final Trip Balance Due July 27th, 2024


All monies paid are non-refundable. A 3% fee will be added to payments made by credit card.
