GIVE THANKS WITH SEAFOOD!
We know that most of you have turkey for dinner on Thanksgiving, but here are some wonderful appetizer ideas to keep everyone happy. (Several of you are having stuffed salmon fillets instead of turkey - a turkey thanks you). Our Salmon Cozies are another great main course choice instead of roasting a turkey. We also have many delicious heat-and-eat side dishes that go wonderfully with your bird and some wonderful pies, tarts and ice cream for dessert:
APPETIZERS
Burhop's famous shrimp, cooked in small batches with our own secret blend of spices. Serve with our wonderful cocktail sauce, by the bottle or in bulk.
Party Trays (Thanksgiving tray orders must be in by Monday 11/20);
Shrimp, Shrimp & Lobster Claws, Poached Salmon, or Hot & Cold Smoked Salmon. Trays come in a variety of sizes and can be ordered by phone, 630-887-4700, or on line.
Burhop's Spreads
Choose from Crab-blend, Smoked Salmon and Smoked Whitefish. All made daily in our kitchen. Just add crackers and feed a crowd!
Hot or Cold Smoked Salmon
Cold smoked from Ducktrap Farms, great on buttered toast points, hot smoked custom done for us here in Chicago, delicious on a cracker.
Half-shell Oysters

Stone Crab Claws (Special Order)
The season has begun! These are the one seafood item which you can eat knowing the crab wasn't killed, and it's busy growing a new claw. Serve as an appetizer or a first course with our Stone Ground Mustard Sauce.
FIRST COURSE
We've already mentioned the oysters and stone crab, but our favorite first course for a crowd is a small steaming cup of one of our elegant homemade bisque soups: Choose from Shrimp, Lobster, Butternut Squash, Mushroom and more - just heat and serve with a sprinkling of warm buttered croutons.*

Nothing finishes off a great Thanksgiving feast like one of our Elegant Farmer Baked-in-a-Bag Apple or Strawberry Rhubarb pies. Supplies are limited, so to ensure that you get the pie you want, call ahead and place an order. List of available pies below.
Of course, we will have our Key Lime Pies and Tarts, including pumpkin, and a limited supply or full sized pumpkin pies - call to place an order - just the right size for people about to explode from eating. And our wonderful locally produced Homer's Ice Cream.
