  Pennies for Prevention Update:

The students brought in an amazing 360 lbs of pennies. With some confusion of pounds vs. dollars, I attempted to figure out how many pennies would equal a pound.  With that being said, it was estimated that the 360 pounds of pennies converted to approximately $756.

I will keep my promise to the kiddos and put my dancing shoes on this Friday, October 30th!!! I love and admire their perseverance.

Red Ribbon Success!

Thank you to Jessica Kirkpatrick and Jannita Demian for coordinating our amazing Red Ribbon Week! From coordinating the daily themes to decorating our school to infuse our AHES Panther spirit! The students all had an opportunity to visit with our military and Anaheim Fire Fighters this week.

Open Chair Positions Available!

Your children need you, the willing parent, to help keep our functions running! Please consider volunteering! You get to decide how big or small the function is. Some of the functions are handled throughout the school year while others are around planning a single event. A good portion of the roles do not require you to be available during school hours. In fact, several of our volunteer parents have full time jobs away from home and perform the functions of their chair positions on their own time and on their terms.

The following positions are available:

  • Golf Tournament - Organize our annual golf tournament
  • Silent Auction - co-chair - Organize, coordinate and procure donated goods/services to be auctioned off

Volunteers make this organization successful! Thank you in advance for those generous with their time.

Go Green with AHES!
Are you an energy conscience person? Then you're the right person for this role!

Our wonderful first grade teacher, Mrs. Verdone, has an opportunity for a $1,000 grant for our school!!

She is in need of a few parent helpers to make our school more "green". Not only does this encourage our students to be more Earth conscience and resourceful, it raises money for AHES!

Please take this opportunity to help!

Mrs. Verdone is leading the charge and would be happy to answer any questions regarding the role and expectations.

She can be reached here at Mrs. Verdone!
