We have received notice from DNR about the treatment schedule for hydrilla in DCL. The notice follows...
As you may already know, hydrilla is a fast-growing aquatic invasive plant that scientists first found in the lake in 2013, and have been treating with an herbicide annually since 2014. The treatment takes place each summer and is once again planned for 2018. For an overview of treatment locations and plans, including other information related to the treatment process, please click here.
People in the affected areas are asked to stay clear of the treatment boat, while underway, so that the proper dosage of herbicide can be administered. Once applied, there are no recreational limitations or restrictions in the area.
The 2018 planned treatment dates are as follows:
June 4
June 26
July 24
August 21
The above dates are all weather dependent. You will receive another notice with any schedule changes or updates.
