As a friendly reminder, the San Gabriel Police Department will not be enforcing overnight parking on December 24, December 25, December 31 and January 1.

City Council approves The Symphony at San Gabriel
By a unanimous vote, the City Council approved a 197-unit senior housing development known as the Symphony at San Gabriel.The three-acre property will consist of senior independent living, assisted living and a memory care center. The building would include studio, one bedroom and two bedroom units, with valet service, a bar, several dining areas, a music room, a craft room, library, theater and exercise rooms designed for assisted living.
San Gabriel celebrates the holidays by lighting the tree!
Festivities began at 6:00 p.m. at Plaza Park with entertainment by local schools and youth groups, followed by the lighting of the tree at 7:00 p.m. There were also holiday ornament making, food trucks, and lots of holiday cheer! The event was sponsored by the San Gabriel Women’s Foundation.
Send a letter to Santa
The Community Services Department and Santa's elves have been very busy this season building you a special mailbox so that your letters are delivered to the North Pole.

Tell Santa a little something about yourself and how you’ve been good all year! Santa will respond to every child who writes him. Drop off your letters in the special mailbox located inside the Community Services Department.
San Gabriel receives award from BikeSGV
On December 1, BikeSGV recognized the City of San Gabriel as the Community of the Year at their annual "Noche de las Luminarias" event in support of more bicycle-pedestrian and transit-friendly in the San Gabriel Valley.

The organization collaborates with surrounding cities to promote and develop a bicycle and pedestrian improvements to roadway resurfacing projects.

Christmas Tree Removal
As we celebrate the holidays and all the wonder it brings, we think about our residents and the services we can bring. Free removal of your Christmas Tree on your trash day has been scheduled for December 31st through January 11th.

Temple City Performing Arts: Sing Joy - A Holiday Concert
On Tuesday, December 18th at 7:00pm, the talented members of Temple City Performing Arts present their annual holiday concert, Sing Joy, featuring the Brighter Side Singers, a full orchestra, and even a visit from Santa Claus! Tickets start at $10. The event will be held at the Mission Playhouse.
