remain the most popular holiday plant. Notice the new, flashier versions of these traditional plants with beautiful striated bracts or soft muted colors. Mini points are popular gifts and fun for a table accent or in a bathroom.
Here are some helpful hints to make them last:
  •  Because Poinsettias are tropical plants, place them near a sunny window, not touching the glass. Keep away from cold or warm drafts.
  • Only water when the plant is dry, but be sure to water enough so the roots get saturated.
  • Fertilize once a week with a water-soluble fertilizer at half strength or less.
  • Yellowing of foliage may indicate insufficient light or over-watering.
  •  Place the pot on a pebble tray, as a humid atmosphere will prolong the bract life.

Birds in the Winter
Holiday Bird Feeding

The holidays are around the corner and the birds are at the feeders.

Do you have a bird watcher on your list?  Why not add a new feeder or bag of seed to their gifts under the tree this year?

We are fully stocked with both.  We also have great stocking stuffers like suet cages, cleaning brushes and thistle sacks.  We can help you select the perfect feeder and seed that will please even the pickiest Ornithologist on your list!

We had another successful and wonderful year here at the garden center.  It's a great time to give you, all our loyal customers, a big shout out for making it so.  We continue to strive to give you reasons to keep coming back.  This season is a wonderful time to take a few moments to reflect on the year you spent in your gardens and your green spaces and to see all you accomplished this year.    Here's hoping your holidays are filled with family and fun and rest.   We look forward to seeing you all in 2018!
