A HUMBLE THANK YOU
Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed this year on Monday, May 27th, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.
It is a tradition to honor those who served in the military and sacrificed so much at a special Memorial Day program at the Tremonton Cemetery. This year’s program will be held on Monday, May 27th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. We will be honored to have Governor Spencer Cox address us.
Many stories exist of men and women from our community who served in World War II. I would like to share one of those stories that is close to home for me. READ MORE.......

Its time for some spring cleaning around your house and property and Tremonton city is here to help. Dumpsters will be out from May 2nd through May 4th around town for Tremonton Residents Only. Once dumpsters are full they will be removed. Please take leaves and green waste to the Treatment Plant and branches and tree limbs up to 12″ to the Compost Processing Facility at 8700 W. 1200 S.

Join us for the second meeting in our Town Hall meeting on May 16th, 6:00 pm at the Senior Center where we discuss and plan for the future of our downtown Main Street.
We invite the community to come and provide their ideas and concerns and help us shape our downtown.

Parks and Recreation focuses on what is important in development from our smallest athletes up through our Prep Leagues and on to Adult. We understand the importance of age progression and have leagues specifically designed for their specific needs.

This Class is designed to improve skills in three areas: driving and irons, putting and green skills, and chipping and short game. Course will include group instruction course play, cover rules, scoring, etc. This course is 6 weeks long and starting June 11 & will end with the B.R. youth tournament which is included on July 18th.
Skyway will have a limited # of clubs for rent, please bring your own. This program will include greens fees, driving range, instruction, shirt and tournament.

We have teamed up with Utah Junior Pickleball to provide a fun learning league. This league is for youth wanting to improve their skills and have fun playing with kids around their skill level.
Beginner lessons start with skill development in a clinic - style format led by experienced coaches going over fundamentals, the key techniques of serving, stance, dinks, 3rd shot drops and transitioning. As these skills are developed, high paced games are utilized to promote each skill in a game environment.
Jr's Ladder League for Players need to know the rules of the game and have basic skills to play.

Gymnastic camps are the perfect summer activity for kids of all ages starting as young as 18 months and continue through adult. Camps are broken up into levels based on age and ability with many physical, mental, and social benefits associated with gymnastics classes.

Summer Dance Camps are a fantastic way for your child to try dance and see if they enjoy it and want to continue with other classes. There is little commitment at a low cost. All classes are for Boys and Girls interested in Dancing and getting to experience free dance and movement as well as learning skills and technique in a fun filled way to help build self-confidence and body coordination.

Directors Message
The warm weather is here. Along with it comes the pretty flowers, the yummy vegetables and fruit and all the fun in the sun as well as the work. I encourage you to spend some time outside before it gets too hot. Smell the fresh cut grass, pull a few weeds, take a short walk and enjoy the beauty of the world. Take time to listen to the wind in the leaves, the birds in the trees, and the kids enjoying the sunshine! I know there is a lot of bad in the world right now and if you look you will find what you look for. Let’s spend our precious time searching out the good. We have made a few changes to the newsletter and added several new menu items and events to our calendar. We would love to hear your opinion on all of this. We would also love for you to give us suggestions of clubs to start, fieldtrips to go on and any other great ideas you have. We believe that this is your Senior Center and we want you to feel comfortable and valued.

This month we are going to check out the Holmgren Nature Trail right here in Tremonton. Then we will sit and visit about other trails the group would be interested in tackling. With Mayor Holmgren Friday, May 24 @ 1:00 May 24 is National Scavenger Hunt day and also the Friday before Memorial Day. We figured why not have some fun at the Cemetery and the Mayor has kindly agreed to help us out. Come work together to figure out some clues and learn a little history while having fun. | | |
