| | | Honoring a Legacy of Leadership | | |
After 11 years of transformative leadership, the Village of Bartlett celebrated the retirement of Chamber President Nan Gudenkauf and Vice President Mary Smith. Their dedication has been a cornerstone of our community's success, fostering growth and building lasting friendships along the way. We are profoundly grateful for their service and the positive mark they’ve left on the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce.
Beyond the boardrooms and ribbon cuttings, Nan and Mary built a culture of friendship and mentorship. They didn’t just manage a Chamber; they nurtured a community. Their legacy is seen in the countless hours of volunteer work, the mentorship of new business owners, and the lasting relationships they forged with residents and officials alike.
| Memorial Day Walk & Remembrance | |
For more than three decades, Bartlett has honored its deceased veterans with a Memorial Day Walk and Remembrance. Please come and join this commemoration on Monday, 5/25.
It begins at 10 a.m. at Bartlett Park, Oak and North Avenues, with an American Legion flag retirement ceremony. At 10:30 a.m. veterans, scouts, civic groups, bagpipers and residents line up for the walk to Bartlett Cemetery, which steps off at 11 a.m.
At the cemetery, the remembrance continues with a brief program and a cannon salute to recognize Bartlett’s local heroes.
Bartlett Police Department will be providing traffic control assistance along North Avenue between N. Eastern Avenue and Oliver Street for the Memorial Day Walk. Motorists traveling in the area of the Memorial Day Walk might experience slight traffic delays.
