January Recap & February Focus

January was a month of momentum and reconnection at Tri-County Women Veterans. We kicked off the year by bringing members together through golf outings, cruises, trivia, and social gatherings—strengthening friendships and reinforcing the sense of community that defines TCWV. We also marked an important milestone: the 5th anniversary of the Citrus County Women Veterans Monument, a powerful reminder of the service, sacrifice, and visibility of women veterans in our region.

Fundraising was another bright spot. Our trivia night and Rolling Stones guitar raffle were both successful thanks to the enthusiasm, generosity, and teamwork of our members and supporters.

Most importantly, we welcomed new members and continued to grow a strong, supportive network of women veterans—one that values connection, shared experience, and mutual support.

As we move into February, our focus turns to connection, appreciation, and self-care. This month, we recognize Valentine’s Day, Black History Month, and American Heart Month, each offering an opportunity to reflect, engage, and support one another in meaningful ways.

February is also a great time to get involved—by attending events, volunteering, or joining a committee. Progress isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing up, staying connected, and continuing to build something meaningful together.

Thank you for being part of this community and for your continued support of women veterans. Together, we are stronger.

Till next time…….

Betsy
