President's Monthly Update

News You Can Use

March is named for the Roman god of war, Mars, however it is most known as Women’s History Month, the celebration of International Women's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.  It is also often associated with the beginning of Daylight Savings Time and the "March Madness" basketball tournament.  In many cultures, the March vernal equinox marks the start of spring, a time of transition and new beginnings.

Valerie Carpenter has offered to help anyone who may need help with an ID card.
As you may know all retired, reserve, active duty personnel and their dependents must get the new digital ID card by the end of 2026. There is an online process that works very well. I did it myself and helped Marianne Estes with hers. It takes about 15 to 30 minutes and a computer or iPad. We got our new ID cards in about 3 weeks. I am offering to help anyone who wants to get their new ID card online versus driving to Orlando or Jacksonville. If you are interested- please send me a text at 240-434-8112 or send me a message - ruthsanzia@gmail.com
