WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT

 TRI-COUNTY WOMEN VETERANS

Message From The President

NEWS YOU CAN USE

As we close the chapter on 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible work we’ve accomplished together this year. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to our mission have strengthened TCWV in countless ways, and I am truly grateful for each of you.

December was a month filled with holidays, family, friends, and Christmas cheer—a season that reminded us of the importance of connection and the joy of gathering with those who matter most. It offered a meaningful pause and a chance to appreciate the blessings of community, both within our homes and within TCWV.

A Look in the Rearview Mirror: December's Highlights

  • Holiday Party at Rohan Recreation Center

A joyful afternoon of celebration, complete with a delicious catered lunch and our always-fun white elephant gift exchange. Thank you to everyone who contributed gifts, decorations, and cheer!

  • Outreach & Community Engagement

Several members continued representing TCWV at events across the Tri-County area, strengthening our presence and connections within the community.

  • The Villages, FL Christmas Parade
  • Wreaths Across America
  • Florida Special Election Poll Workers
  • Women Doctor's Book Club

  • Program Planning for 2026

January kicks off our planning cycle for events, workshops, community partnerships, and veteran support programs. Your input is welcome—this is our year to grow and strengthen our impact.

  • New Member Welcome Efforts

We’ll continue expanding outreach to bring more women veterans into the TCWV family. We will also revitalize our mentorship program to ensure all new members feel welcome and are aware of the wonderful opportunities TCWV offers.

  • Jan 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Highlight community service or volunteer opportunities).
  • All Month: National Mentoring Month—encourage senior leaders to engage with junior personnel for professional development.

Board of Directors – Update

As we move into a new year filled with momentum and opportunity, I want to extend a sincere thank-you to Flo Hurlburt and Kelly Dobson for their exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to TCWV. Their commitment has helped elevate our organization to one of the strongest and most vibrant women veterans’ groups in Florida. "Fair Winds and Following Seas" as they continue their journey.

I am equally excited to welcome Kasi Pirkey, Martha Monroe, and Kelley Carson to our Board of Directors. Their energy, expertise, and passion for service strengthen our leadership team and position TCWV for continued growth and success in 2026 and beyond.

Closing Remarks

As we say goodbye to 2025 and welcome 2026, let us carry the warmth, gratitude, and togetherness of the holiday season into everything we do. I am excited for the opportunities ahead and confident that, united in purpose and service, we will continue to uplift and empower the women who served.

Wishing you all a bright, healthy, and inspiring start to the year.

Until Next Time.....
