NEWS YOU CAN USE

🌸 Spring into Action

March brings renewal, momentum, and fresh beginnings. As we welcome the Spring Equinox, celebrate Women’s History Month, and reflect on the first quarter of the year, this is the perfect time to recommit to our mission: advocating for, empowering, and supporting women veterans.

Let’s step into spring with purpose.

🌟 Women’s History Month (All Month)

Officially established in 1987, Women’s History Month recognizes the vital role women have played in shaping our nation.

Women have served with distinction in every era — including during the Vietnam War — often without the recognition they deserved.

We also honor the legacy preserved at the Military Women's Memorial and within our TCWV Yearbook, ensuring the stories of servicewomen are documented and never forgotten.

At TCWV, we are not just observing history — we are living it.

We will be featuring you, our TCWV members in Facebook posts throughout the month of March.

If you have NOT shared your story, do so today! POC is Terri Friend

☘️ March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day

A little luck. A lot of gratitude. And a parade!

We are fortunate to have:

  • Dedicated volunteers
  • Courageous members
  • Generous supporters
  • A powerful sisterhood

Wear green, share appreciation, and thank a fellow member for the impact she makes.

Join TCWV as we proudly represent women veterans. Wear green, bring your patriotic spirit, and stand united in sisterhood.

🏀 March Momentum

While March Madness energizes the nation, we’re building our own winning season:

  • Strengthening committees
  • Expanding programs
  • Supporting our health, wellness, and legacy initiatives
  • Advancing our Strategic Focus 2026
  • Exploring the potential and interest in an All-Women Flight of Recognition in 2027

Championship teams are built on commitment and collaboration — and TCWV is no exception.

🌼 March 20 – First Day of Spring

The Spring Equinox reminds us that growth is intentional.

Spring Into Action Ideas:

  • Reach out to a member you haven’t seen recently
  • Volunteer for a committee
  • Invite a new veteran to attend a meeting
  • Refresh your personal wellness goals

Small actions create meaningful impact.

________________________________________________________

🥗 National Nutrition Month

Wellness is strength.

This month, focus on:

  • Hydration and heart health
  • Stress management
  • Balanced nutrition
  • Gentle movement and stretching

Taking care of ourselves allows us to better care for each other.

________________________________________________________

🥧 March 14 – Pi Day

A reminder that service and sisterhood can include a little fun. Whether it’s sharing a favorite pie, enjoying trivia, or simply offering a smile — connection matters.
