Happy 2021!
I’m not sure about you-- but I’m ready for a new year! 2020 has been a challenging and interesting year.
Thanks to you, we ended the year on a very strong note. Congrats.
I want to thank Katie Broussard Hartley and Laurel Looney for being the Cookies & Castles 2020 Co-Chairs Extraordinaire. Cookies & Castles was a little different this year but with their steadfast leadership and the strong support of our sponsors and Tri Delta Sisters, we had another sold-out year, even during a pandemic! Due to the many dedicated committee members, the take-home event was a huge success!
Thank you for supporting OUR philanthropy and continuing to grow this fantastic event that benefits Scottish Rite Hospital and the Tri Delta Foundation.
We can all look forward to having in-person events again soon, but until then - enjoy this newsletter and check out the website for more fun activities.
DLAM,
Sandra

Wow! What a year for Cookies & Castles. When we started looking into alternative avenues for our event back in March, we had no idea what to expect. From shifting the entire set up and going to a drive-through only event, planning the event solely via Zoom calls and stuffing the event goodies while covered with protective equipment, it's safe to say that our 13th year was the most unique year yet!
We have been amazed by the commitment of our committee of Tri Delta sisters to bring the excitement of Cookies & Castles to your Home for the Holidays this year. The joyful determination of a group of women to make an impact for the patients and staff of Scottish Rite for Children was remarkable to witness. The trials we faced were no match for this special group of creative problem-solvers. As chairman, we couldn't have asked for a more dedicated group...and we're so thankful for each of these ladies.

Going into this year, we could not have imagined the excitement that was about to ensue or how supportive our Tri Delta community would be. The outpouring of support and excitement of Cookies & Castles this year has been overwhelming! Thank you for your encouragement, donations and excitement this year!
The event was such a success! Over 250 cars drove through our drive-through Cookies & Castles event in the Scottish Rite parking lot on December 12. Our elves loaded totes of gingerbread houses, icing, candy and party kits into the trunks of our guests' cars. The celebration continued with pints of candy cane ice cream from Howdy Homemade, a drive-through photo booth for photos with Santa and hot cocoa and cider from the Bubble Bus to top off the festivities.

|
A special thank you to our Tri Delta sponsors and friends of Cookies & Castles for continuing to show your support of Scottish Rite for Children and helping give children back their childhood. We're so grateful for your support.
Thank you to everyone who supported our newest campaign, the Wagon of Hope. This year on top of our drive-through event, we set out to raise $5,000 to gift 12 specialty prosthetics to patients at Scottish Rite. These specialty devices allow patients to participate in sports, play instruments, and participate in other dexterous activities. We are thrilled to announce that we and both MET and EXCEEDED this goal! The Wagon of Hope and our hearts are FULL.

We hope to share the donation total with you soon so we can all celebrate the impact the Dallas Alumni Chapter of Tri Delta is making in our community.
Wishing you and your families a healthy, happy, and hopeful 2021,
