Let us get right to what everyone wants to know.

Where is our club gear?

If you have not already received your TTC Tech Shirt, it is at the Inside Out Store you selected when you ordered. We also have extra Tech Shirts. If you would like to purchase additional shirts for yourself or a family member. These will be available to purchase at the finish line party. After Sunday, in the online club store.

Racing gear - Tri Tops, Shorts, Tri Suits and cycling gear. A portion of the first order has finally shipped. This shipment consists of only the Tri Tops with sleeves. For those of you following along in the drama of the clothing delays, this particular shipment is coming from the original factory in Honduras.  This shipment is scheduled to arrive Friday afternoon, June 2 nd. Assuming there are no customs delays. You can following the tracking here. I will contact each of you that ordered this type of top to arrange pick-up.

Seventeen people ordered the Tri Top with Sleeves. We ordered a few extras and would like to get these to athletes racing Raleigh 70.3 this weekend. If you are racing Raleigh 70.3 and would like to swap your traditional top for a sleeved top please email me, fred@triangletriclub.com We will have the following sizes available: Men's Small -1, Men's Medium - 2, Men's Large -2, Men's 2XL-1, Women's S - 1.

Now the less good news. The bulk order, which has all of the traditional tri tops, shorts and cycling gear is now scheduled to arrive June 9 th. This is coming from the new factory in China. Once we have confirmation that the order has shipped we will notify everyone when and where you can pick up your gear.

We have also learned that with the factory switch, Sugoi no longer has the ability to supply the Tri Suit with Sleeves. If you made this selection, we will be in contact with you to offer a refund or offer alternate kit choices.

Water bottles and magnets are on order, they are a few 2-3 weeks out. Again, we will let you know when they are available.

Thank you for your patience, it takes a lot of extra time and cycles when things go awry.

Volunteer Opportunity - Raleigh 70.3

TTC, along with the Cary YMCA is staffing Bike Aid Station #2 on the Raleigh 70.3 Course. We do this to give back to the Triathlon community and at the same time we raise funds for a local charity by way of a donation from the IRONMAN Foundation.

The picture shows all of the volunteers it takes to run an aid station. If you are not racing we really need you to volunteer.

Tri Stacey

" Good luck at your race!"

As athletes, we so often hear this as a show of support and a big, warm hug of sorts to calm pre-race jitters.  It's a standard line and a well accepted one.
But from a sports psychology perspective, it's a rather interesting idea to contemplate.   Since you are likely tapering as you read this and your brain is racing to the start line, take five slow minutes to think this through;   there's a lot more than luck on your side!
It's entirely possible that sports performance has very little to do with luck and a lot to do with athlete preparation.   A prepared athlete MAKES his or her own luck on the race course and takes charge of every moment of the race.   An athlete who has practiced and prepared has considered every scenario of the day and every possible solution.    Perhaps this athlete doesn't so much need luck as other forms of support:
Go execute
Do what you know
Trust your training
Over prepare to race prepared
Make your own luck!!!
Take them all with you to the start line, and yes,  "good luck" too!  :)

Another reason to be make sure your club affiliation is up-to-date.  See below for how to declare your TTC affiliation.

IRONMAN CLUB Affiliation

Triangle Triathlon Club participates in the IRONMAN Tri Club Program.  Last year we finished 2nd in the Americas and 3rd in the world standings in division 3. This year we have been moved to division 1, so the competition will be much greater.

We earn points by your race participation and finish times.

We use these points to get early entry into races, special bike race placement and VIP pass at races.

We need all club members who are doing IRONMAN races to be affiliated with our club on the IRONMAN website.  How do I declare my affiliation with TTC?

Thanks to our
2017 Triangle Triathlon Club Sponsors!
